Onion ring dip
In preparation for New Years Eve I mixed up the dry ingredients and the sauces for onion rings, and pickles. As the original chef states the sauce hasn't had time to get "married" yet, but upon first taste it reminded me of 17street BBQ onion straw sauce DELISH!!!! Much more to my liking than the comeback sauce made last week.
The dip was wonderful! Once the spices mingled it really did taste like 17th Street even though I'm sure their trademark Magic Dust. Maybe needed less Cajun spice, but then again I may have been heavy handed since I like Cajun flavor. The onion rings I won't try again. They tasted good, but basically came out looking and tasting like a sauteed onion which I could do much quicker and less pain staking in a pan on the stove. Dipping was time consuming and once you did the first flip the "breading" pretty much fell off.
